As the FIFA World Cup has started, different celebrities have made an appearance at the opening ceremony of the World Cup.

FIFA World Cup is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national team of members of the Fédération Internationale de football association. It was founded in 1930.

Information About Fifa World Cup Seven panels

“Seven panels were included in the ceremony, merged by Qatari and International cultures.”

It shows the country's culture, the importance of respecting others and changing misconceptions about Arab countries. The first panel shows the sound of El-Hoon associated with receiving guests. In the second panel, Morgan Freeman participated with Ghanim Al Muftah. The next panel collected the most famous cheers of encouragement from the 32 countries participating, along with the Qatari music. The football nostalgia panel collects former official Talismans in honour of previous host countries. And then, the Dreamer panel came in, which BTS member Jungkook performed along with some previous songs, Haya Haya and Qandil Al Sama, performed by Fahad Al Qubaisi.

And then, the next panel shows an archival historical film showing former Emir Sheikh Hammad Bin Khalifa Al Thani playing football with his friends. The last panel began with a speech by Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. It ended with the official logo of the World cup 2022. It was at a height of 15 meters and ended up with fireworks.

Nora Fatehi also performed at the FIFA World Cup ceremony. She danced to some Bollywood songs like saki and to another song named Dirty little secret.

Jungkook's performance at the Ceremony

BTS member Jungkook performed at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar and became the first Korean to perform at the opening of the FIFA World Cup. He performed at the World Cup "Dreamers" anthem and said he was honoured to perform at the opening ceremony.

Controversies at Fifa World Cup 2022

Some celebrities like Shakira and Dua Lipa were about to perform at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup but didn't perform. Shakira confirmed her withdrawal four days before the opening ceremony. English singer Dua Lipa was also initially reported to be a part of the Opening ceremony. But she refused to perform, calling out Qatar on its Human Rights Violations and also for being against LGBT movements.
